Chronic Shoulder Pain of A Gymnast
Thanks to Dr. Liao’s acupuncture methods I have been able to get
through each day without having any shoulder pain. I was a gymnast on
and off for about ten years and coach for another 4, and the strenuous
exercise coupled with stress from a year abroad resulted in chronic
pain and tension from the base of my neck to my shoulder blade. I had
tried using at-home solutions such as Icy-Hot, massages, increased
exercise, etc., but the pain was a daily presence for almost a year
straight.
That is when I decided to give acupuncture a try. I had heard of it’s
myriad of lasting benefits and was very curious to know more about
eastern healing methods. From the first visit Dr. Liao was very
professional and kind. He asked for a full medical history and
explained that it would help him to better understand the underlying
cause of the pain, which I assume was true because after six weekly
sessions I have not had any shoulder pain, no discoloration on my
skin, nor any visits from other minor aches that I had brushed aside
in the past. I recommend visiting Dr. Liao if you have any sort of
chronic aches because he is not only skilled at what he does, but is
also patient, kind, and attentive in character, and I thank him
greatly for helping me to heal my shoulder pain.
