Treatment
of My Right Knee Pain
Basic Information:
Male
Age: 63
Condition: Right knee pain
Initial visit: May 22, 2006
Summary:
The knee pain was caused by the inflammation
of the medial meniscus of the right knee. The pain was recently triggered by the
patient's new jogging activities. With my examination, I found that
both his lateral and medial meniscus have some extent of inflammation on both
knees.
Testimonial:
About two months ago I strained my right knee while running. For the first
week or so I just took Ibuprofen and limped. I was not careful and probably
injured the ligaments more.
I went to a conventional orthopedist who took X-rays and told me that I had
calcium deposits in the ligaments and that this was a common pre-arthritic
condition. He said that he could give me a shot of Cortisone if I wanted, but
that there wasn't much else that he could do.
A friend of mine had been seeing Owen for another condition and had said that
the acupuncture treatments were very effective.
I had never tried acupuncture before, but I decided to give it a try. I was
very pleased with the initial results and decided to continue. Owen pointed out
that the particular problem (my right knee) was only a symptom of a more
widespread condition that had been building up for years and demonstrated where
some of the other problems were imminent. I could feel when he pressed some of
the other areas that, although there was normally no pain, the inflammation was
building up. I decided to continue treatment after the right knee was
essentially pain free (10 treatments in about 4 weeks). Owen estimates that
about 25 treatments (total) will restore my body's balance. I can feel the
improvement in my health and flexibility as treatment continues.
The cost of Owen's treatment is much less, and the effectiveness is much
greater, than any conventional Western Medicine treatment that I have ever
experienced. I now heartily recommend Owen's treatment to my friends and others
that I know.
